Moon Bun of the Month: Greece

The eight stop for the Moon Buns is Greece to view the ancient ruins.

This little Moon Bun is wearing a wreath of laurels and a peplos, which was the traditional dress in ancient times. Maybe she would like to be a lovely statue?

New Today! Jack-o-Lantern Moon Buns

Yay! Three little Jack-o-lantern Moon Buns have just arrived in the shop.
I must admit I tend to practice my future pumpkin carving plans while making the faces on these little ones.

I can't wait to get my hands on a pumpkin this year!

New Yesterday! Pumpkin Moon Buns

Oh goodness! Shame on me for my lateness! I was sure I'd posted these here yesterday, but it appears I saved it as a draft instead. (D'oh! Me and technology are not friends.)

Here is Friday's Halloweeny design, Pumpkin Moon Buns!
I have only three, one in Rustic, Classic and Ghost Pumpkin.

You can add them to your collection here.

Fancy Zombies - New Today!

Every year, I get so into the 31 Amigurumi in October series, I completely forget to make regular Halloween pieces. This year, I'm hoping to fix that with an upload every Monday through Friday until September 23rd.

They may not be Halloween items every time, because I have a few designs that have been sitting on the back burner waiting to join the shop, but for the most part, they will be Halloween-inspired. I'll be making only 3 per design for the shop, since I'm going to be pretty slammed with preparing for a few shows and of course the 31 Amigurumi in October, so grab them while you can!

New today!
Staring out of eerie pink eyes, Fancy Zombie Moon Buns stagger about in their white tattered shirts spattered with blood, in search of brains.

Yesterday's release was Tako-kun!
Tako-kun is from Osaka and often grumpy because of his sunburn.

Someone's ready for a new school year!

It's Mr. Pencil!
This plucky little pencil loves writing puns and performing long division.

Sorry for forgetting to post this earlier. It seems we had a bit of rumbling in Virginia. The Moon Buns and I are all safe and sound. :)

In the depths of the ocean hide the mythical Octo-bun, distant relative to the Moon Bun.
Octo-buns are identified with their perky bunny ears and eight squiggly legs. They prefer warm waters and live on a diet of strawberry cake and vanilla milkshakes.

The color choices of the most recent Octo-Buns were suggested by my fans on Facebook!

Price Increase

Hello Moon Bun Fans,

Due to the continuing increase in the cost of supplies, Moon's Creations will be seeing a $1 increase in our basic, baby-sized and special Moon Buns. This price increase will go into effect on September 1, 2011.

Thank you for your understanding.

Movin' right along!

Still slowly recovering from after convention illness and exhaustion, but I'm doing better.

Last week, I sat down in the Bunny Mines and just sat. I had no desire to even touch my hooks. The idea of touching amigurumi was just detestable after the months of constant crocheting in preparation for the show.
Instead, I picked up my knitting needles. Many of you may not know, but I'm originally a knitter. It's a hobby I truly love and it was so relaxing just to fall into it. I've been making a few reusable shopping bags, for personal use, because I'm sick to the teeth of plastic bags in my house.

Now that I feel fully recovered and back in love with amigurumi, I've been photographing pieces to be listed, creating some new designs, and working on some exciting plans for October. *wink*wink*

So what do you do when you've fallen into a funk or over-done it with a passion?

Otakon - after

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by at Otakon! It was so wonderful meeting so many kind, sweet fans and hopefully new fans! Right now the Moon Buns and I are getting some much needed rest after long hours, short sleeps and picking up a bit of a cold.

Once we recover, I'll be adding new items to the shop, including July's Moon Bun of the Month, who missed her release date, due to the shop being closed.

Thank you again!
