Otakon Preview

Many appologies for being so quiet lately. I've been working hard to build up plenty of stock for the Otakon Convention. Here's a little preview of some of my newer designs that will be available.

Mini Kappa
This little Kappa stands just over 2" tall!

Strawberry Moon Bun
I've made this design for a set, but hadn't had the chance to make more. Finally got the opportunity and I'm loving the design.

Thanks to a very good friend of mine, I'm completely in love with the Dr. Who series. I had to make a bit of fan-art in the form of these fantastic monsters.

Paopu Fruit
These cute little star-shaped fruit were a challenge to design, but I'm loving the finished piece. I may start offering stars in the shop!

Onigiri and Sakura Mochi
In an attempt to keep learning new techniques, I created these fantastic little handful-sized onigiri. I love the little blushie cheeks.

New at Moon's Creations, Postcards!

I only have a few designs to begin with, which include this great shot of a censored little Moon Bun showing a bit too much during Mardi Gras.

This very popular Mochi Pounding Moon Bun set is now available in an affordable postcard.

Relive the excitement of the Winter Olympics with this great postcard!

Celebrate happiness with this great image that was also used for the Colors Artbook.

Each postcard is individually hand-stamped with water-proof archival ink and conform to mailing regulations, so you won't have to pay extra postage.

Did you see that?

I changed the look of the blog.
It was one of those pre-designed ones, but I think it suits. Nice and pink! When did I start liking pink so much?

Did you know my favorite color is actually green?

Well, just dropping in to give smiles and waves. I'm still preparing stock for Otakon at the end of this month, so I've been pretty tied up with working in the Bunny Mines.
Thank you for bearing with me while I've been so busy.

Tomorrow I'll post some photos.
Cross my heart!

Sounds of Sunday

I haven't posted a song for Sunday in a very long time. Here's a one that's been stuck in my head for a few days. Enjoy!

Otakon Artist Alley 2010 Map by =egyptianruin on deviantART

Once again, Moon's Creations will be in the Artist Alley at the Baltimore Anime Convention, Otakon. Of course, this also means I need to hunker down in the Bunny Mines and get to work on stocking up pieces for the show, so you may not hear from me as much as usual.

If you'll be there, please stop by and say "hello!"

Here we go!

Today is a monumental day.
(And you just thought it was Friday.)
Today is the last day I work for others and finally begin working for myself. The Moon Buns whole-heartedly approve.

I, on the other hand, can't decide if I'm exhilarated or so nervous I can barely sit still.

On the one side, I have this nagging little voice that keeps screaming, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU'RE AN ADULT NOW, YOU CAN'T JUST QUIT YOUR JOB! WHAT ABOUT ALL THE UNKNOWNS! WHAT IF! WHAT IF! WHAT IF!"

On the other side, I believe in myself and the Moon Buns. They have begun to take up every spare minute of my time and a change needs to be made.

Besides, it's too late now.
The wheels are turning, the cliff has been jumped and we'll just have to see what the year brings.
